I was disappointed that they literally didn’t allow ANY substitutions. Even though they offered Alfredo for an up charge, they wouldn’t make fettuccini Alfredo instead of their typical pasta. Fettuccini is an item offered on the menu, so I wasn’t asking for anything they didn’t have & I was willing to pay more. I was told that everything is very ‘saucy’ but it wasn’t at all, as I’m sure you can see in the pictures. I am glad I looked at the food before I left and asked for the extra sauce because it really needed it. I would’ve been very disappointed had I not had the extra sauce, it made a HUGE difference! I ordered my food to go but wasn’t offered utensils & I had to ask for butter for the bread they give you with the food. Little things, but those little things make a difference when you’re taking your food to go. The food was delicious though, I have to say probably the best chicken parm I’ve had in the cape - it definitely needed the extra sauce, though. Both, the chicken and the pasta were fairly dry. The pasta was also cooked perfectly al dente which is hard to find. I’d definitely recommend and I would go back!

This place is a true hidden gem. 5 star service & food. We came from Minnesota for my sisters birthday & the Italian food was delicious & authentic. Highly recommend. Thank you to our server Marc, I believe that was his name.

Ordered doordash for my son for his birthday...i live in Tennessee. Ordered the tortellini gusto and.tiramisu. It arrived quickly hot and fresh. He said it was absolutely amazing!!! He used all the bread to get every last bit of sauce. So glad I chose to order from Gusto Cucina... it made his day! Ty!

Gusto Cucina Italiana absolutely blew us away. I went with my wife, my mother‑in‑law, and our newborn, and from the moment we walked in, the experience was on point. My wife ordered the Chicken Marsala, my mother‑in‑law had the Chicken Parmigiana, and I went straight for the seafood dish. Every single plate was executed with precision — rich flavor, perfect seasoning, and that unmistakable touch of a kitchen that actually cares.” “Our server — I didn’t catch her name — was phenomenal. Warm, attentive, and on top of everything without ever hovering. And the owner? You can tell she runs that restaurant with pride. She was present, engaged, and you could feel her standards reflected in every detail. As someone who’s been a chef and owned restaurants myself, I notice the small things most people miss. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Cape Coral, do yourself a favor and visit Gusto Cucina Italiana on Del Prado. This place is the real deal. Family owned and operated for more than 10 years, and you can taste the pride in every single bite. Tonight we ordered the Chicken Parmesan and the Chicken & Shrimp LaRosa, and wow… absolutely incredible. The chicken parmesan was perfectly breaded, topped with rich marinara and melted mozzarella, sitting on a bed of creamy pasta. Comfort food at its finest. The Chicken & Shrimp LaRosa was next level. Tender chicken, shrimp, spinach, tomatoes, and melted cheese all swimming in a buttery garlic sauce that had our palates singing. Every bite felt like something straight out of an Italian kitchen. You can tell when a restaurant cares about their food, their recipes, and their guests. This place delivers all three.
